Yancey Family to Host 2017 St. Francis Classic

The St. Francis Hospital Foundation is honored to have John & Susan Yancey along with their daughters, Melissa and Kristen ,host the 2017 St. Francis Classic.

The Yanceys were a part of the Maryville community for over 40 years, leaving a legacy of friendship and service. John’s career brought them to town in 1972 when he opened the first Edward Jones office in Maryville where he worked as a Financial Advisor for 39 years. Their daughters were proud graduates of Maryville High School. Melissa earned a degree in Finance from Northwest Missouri State

University and Kristen earned a degree in Communications rom Missouri State University. Susan was a member of the St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary.

The St. Francis Hospital Foundation has been John’s passion in community service. He served as president of the foundation for 16 years, retiring in 2015. During John’s presidency, the foundation purchased over $5M in significant medical equipment and new technology, and added on the South Wing of the hospital, privatizing 38 patient rooms.

Supporting the foundation was and continues to be an important officio board - cause to the Yancey’s. John continues to serve as an ex- officio board member and remains proud of the accomplishments the St. Francis Hospital Foundation has made, as they represent the hard work of many people.
