The St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary focuses on health and welfare of the community. The Auxiliary's primary function is to raise money for health care equipment and services at St. Francis Hospital. In addition, Auxiliary members organize community service projects and social events throughout the year.
How does the Auxiliary make a difference?
The St. Francis Auxiliary supports the administration's efforts to provide quality health care to the community through fund raisers such as book fairs, craft bazaars and other special events.
The St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary received recognition from the Maryville Citizens for Community Action for outstanding service projects. It is a charter member of the Missouri Association of Hospital Auxiliaries.
Giving Tree Gift Shop
The Giving Tree gift shop is a major fundraising project for the Auxiliary. Approximately 65 volunteers work in the shop each month. Members also provide crafts and flowers for the shop.
Other fundraising projects that the Auxiliary holds are the Jewelry Sale, Bakeless Bake Sale, Craft Bazaar and Book Fair.
How can I help?
There are numerous opportunities for auxiliary involvement. You are invited to choose activities that most fit your interest and schedule. Current members contribute from 12 to 500 hours per year in the gift shop and/or fund raising events. Your participation may be changed by you at any time because of unforeseen circumstances. In addition, a token annual membership fee is expected, usually in November of each year. Membership dues are used to pay for miscellaneous office expenses of the auxiliary. Also, you are expected to attend a few training sessions on operating the gift shop and hospital security.
