Physical therapists are experts in the examination and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders that limit an individual's mobility, quality of movement, and strength. Use of exercise, physical agent modalities, and manual techniques are used to treat these deficits and decrease pain.
Physical therapy also prevents the unnecessary loss of movement and strength due to injury, disease process, and developmental conditions. Patients are educated on how to properly manage these conditions throughout their lives.
