No sick days! St. Francis Helps Keep Kids Healthy for School
In observance of National Immunization Week, St. Francis Family Health Care is announcing its plans to conduct immunization clinics on May 16 and August 1 for the 2015-16 school year.
"National Immunization Week provides a valuable opportunity for our community to tell people how important it is for children to be vaccinated," said Martha Mustion, nurse practitioner at the St. Francis Immunization Clinic. "Childhood vaccinations are one of the best ways for parents to protect their children against vaccine-preventable diseases."
The immunization clinics will be held by appointment only from 8 to 11 a.m. on both May 16 and August 1 at St. Francis Family Health Care, 2016 South Main. The clinic is for all students from preschool to 18 years of age. Parents must be present during the appointment and bring the student's immunization record. Insurance will be billed and the VFC (Vaccine for Children) program is available for eligible participants.
